Niagara Falls so we lost about 1 hour sorting that out. Decided to leave the main highway and went to Picton and Glenora where we caught a free ferry across Lake Ontario to get to Kingston. Beautiful. The landlady - Elizabeth at the B & B - told us they had only had snow the week before. We saw quite a lot of snow travelling to Kingston and the Lake had lots of ice in it. Elizabeth told,us that the Lake completely freezes and you used to be able to drive from Kingston across to Wolfe Island , on the ice, but it was banned when a mother and her two kids did it in the spring and drowned! Having a wonderful time so far, hope all is well at home. Gary now going to try and upload some pictures.

Monday 13th April. Well what a long day today. Went back to the Falls before we left to take more photos. It is truly magnificent, big chunks of ice that millions of litres of water runs over, spectacular! And very cold. Left Niagara Falls about 930am and travelled to Niagara-On-The-Lakes. Seriously a beautiful place. Lake Ontario is amazing, so calm. Spent a couple of hours there, went to Fort George - closed during the week but we could still see what it used to look like. Reminded me of F Troop! Left there and we travelled to Kingston. Very, very tiring. The sat Nav kept wanting to take us back to

Lucky, lucky things. Niagara Falls with ice, sounds incredible!! Just be nice to the SatNav, she sometimes has a mind of her own and doesn't take kindly to criticism...... Sounds like you are covering plenty of country and seeing some beautiful places. We have been watching the weather, thought you may be feeling the cold. We are enjoying the warm weather at home at the moment. Keep up the good blogging, love reading it every night. Love Pam and Vernon
